I spent longer than I set out too on this one, mostly because I spent too much time reading up about railguns (French inventor Louis Octave Fauchon-Villeplee filed a patent for a railgun sort of thing way back in 1918) and artillery (The name 'Red Legs' came from what some of the soldiers during the Veitnam war would call artillery, which in turn came from the American Civil War where the guys manning the artillery cannons had red stripes on their pants).  Oh, and the 'EAPD' on the side of the cannon was originally 'EAPP' which stood for 'Electric Apparatus for Propelling Projectiles', the title of our French friend's patent when he filed it, pretty cool I thought (I ended up swapping the last P for a D though, just to give the logo type some symmetry - call it artistic license).
